Charlotte Gyllenhammar Presentation of Works

May 11 — June 10, 2023

About

In parallel with Market Art Fair, Charlotte Gyllenhammars works from the Croiser/Korsa exhibition at Prins Eugen Waldemarsudde are shown in our gallery on Västra Trädgårdsgatan together with films by Marie-Louise Ekman in which the artist participates. For the first time, a scene from Delirium (1988), a film about life at an Art school, with Johannes Brost, Henry Bronett, Roland Pöntinen and Charlotte Gyllenhammar is shown. In the famous dream scene from Fadern, Sonen und Den Helige Anden (1987), we see Ernst-Hugo Järegård in a red ballet costume, dancing with Gyllenhammar singing to Tchaikovsky’s Pas de Deux from The Nutcracker.

Gyllenhammar studied at the Royal College of Art in London and the Kungliga Konsthögskolan in Stockholm. Her public works include the memorial for Raoul Wallenberg in Gothenburg, the sculpture Meteorite in Lund, the works &child and Mother in Malmö, and the monument to Dag Hammarskjöld in Uppsala. November 2022–March 2023 her solo exhibition Croiser/Korsa was shown at Prins Eugen Waldemarsudde and this year Gyllenhammar is the artist of the year for Princess Estelle’s Cultural Foundation.
